The Company : A manufacturer of chemicals with a turnover of approximately Rs.120.0 crores
The Problem : High attrition rate, leading to shortage of quality employees.
Intervention Areas : Human Resource Management.
The Solution : An employee morale survey and a SWOT analysis of the company was conducted to identify the reasons for the exodus of the employees. The results were correlated and a report was submitted to the management detailing the cause and reasons for the high levels of attrition. A number of suggestions were given to rectify the problem, including streamlining the HR department, formulating a comprehensive HR policy and other HR initiatives such as wage parity, employee empowerment and decentralisation of decision making.
The Result : Today this company has a good level of employee satisfaction, employee attrition rate has come down and the companys' image in the job market has been enhanced.
